Dr. Rebecca Coil – Medical Director Newcastle

Associate Veterinarian, Medical Director Newcastle

Education: University of Washington & Washington State University

“I truly care about each pet we see. Whether it is a wellness or problem exam,  I’m passionate about educating owners and helping guide them to make a decision for their pets care. I love seeing pets improve with our care and appreciate the care we provide.”– Dr. Rebecca Coil

Dr. Coil joined Eastside Veterinary Associates in 2016 after the opening of our Newcastle location. Dr. Coil grew up in Pullman, WA. She knew she wanted to become a veterinarian after volunteering at her local humane society and shadowing veterinarians at WSU’s veterinary school. After attending the University of Washington for her undergraduate degree, she fell in love with the Seattle area.  She moved back to Pullman to complete her veterinary degree at WSU. While in veterinary school, she worked as a surgery assistant for 3 years, where surgery became one of her passions. Dr. Coil also volunteered in Central America with a non-profit organization and provided free veterinary care to those in need. She is passionate about preventative care and helping pets in all circumstances. Dr. Coil completed a vigorous year-long medicine and surgery internship at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle, where she gained valuable emergency, surgery, and internal medicine training. Dr. Coil is excited to be part of the Eastside family. She shares her life with her husband and her adorable dog, Ellie. Dr. Coil enjoys cooking, yoga and being a Seattle foodie in her free time.
