Pets: Stinkybeans (Beans for short)

“There is a belief that until a human learns to love an animal, there is a part of themselves that remains unawakened. Animals have taught me what it means to be human and what it means to have genuine connection in my life. They hold a special place in my heart, my work, and my home.”

I am very excited to start a career in the veterinary field as a vet receptionist having come from a background of customer service and retail. I love connecting with clients and doing what I can to ensure they feel heard and that their experience is great.

Outside of my job I am a person of many hobbies. I draw, paint, tattoo, mess with wood working, read books, write poetry- just anything that is art. I am also a fan of going to the movies with my nephew and playing fetch with my cat, Stinkybeans.

My cat’s name is Stinkybeans. I have a food thing when it comes to naming my pets. When I was younger I had two cats named Spaghetti and Burrito, so he was going to be GreenBeans to continue the food thing- but it became Stinkybeans. I was gifted him by a friend whose cats unexpectedly had kittens and I had just moved in to my own place. My home did not feel like a home until he started chasing me around. My every morning starts off by moving him from off of my stomach (where he absolutely has to sleep every night) and I wouldn’t want to wake up any other way.
